No account, local processing, and local retention are three separate properties. ATSGrader’s scanner retains local text for rescanning; the inspector below clears its text copies, while editor drafts and PDF storage have their own retention.

This reads only ATSGrader's named localStorage keys on your device. It reports byte counts, never the stored text. Nothing is sent anywhere by this inspection. Resume byte counts include all scanner copies. Saved editor drafts, export-return snapshots, and original PDF files in IndexedDB are separate and are not removed by this button. Use your browser’s site-data controls to remove all local data; that also removes local Pro access IDs.
Why some free checkers use an account
Accounts support saved history, cross-device syncing, usage limits, job tracking, and subscriptions. That may be a fair trade when you want a full job-search suite.
